Tam Le, M.D.

Hi! My name is Thu Tam Le (Tam). I was born in Vietnam and came to the US at the age of 14. I obtained a RN, BSN degree from St. Petersburg College Florida and worked as a RN for many years. I obtained a Master degree in Nursing at USF and worked as a Nurse Practitioner at the DOH of St. Petersburg, FL.

While working as a NP, I really enjoyed working in clinical settings and wanted to further my studies. I attended USAT-University of Science and Technology Monseratt West Indies and obtained my medical degree there.

My decision to pursue family medicine was a gradual process. Working in healthcare, I realized having access to a family doctor for medical health needs is very important for optimal health outcomes. Often, I see patients who go for years without seeing primary care doctors so by the time they come to our clinic, they already have advanced stages of ESRD from having chronic uncontrolled hypertension for so long or having diabetes for so long without getting help.

I would like to play my part, as a family doctor, I will be able to see patients, provide preventative services, and address other healthcare needs.
