I was born and raised in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, and now, I also call Trussville, AL, my home. My academic journey in the United States started at Gadsden State Community College in Gadsden, AL. This foundational experience paved the way for my transfer to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) for my undergraduate studies.
Subsequently, I earned my medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and gained practical clinical experience working as a licensed Assistant Physician in the state of Missouri.
I am thrilled to join the Gadsden Regional Medical Center Family Residency Program. During my rotation with the program, I experienced a profound sense of camaraderie and family spirit among the residents, faculty members, and clinic staff.
Returning to where my journey in the United States began marks a full-circle moment for me. It is a deeply meaningful opportunity to give back to the community that has played a pivotal role in my educational and personal growth.
