Hometown: Birmingham, AL & Knoxville, TN
Education: University of Alabama (B.S. & M.B.A), St. George’s University School of Medicine
I moved around a lot growing up but graduated high school in Knoxville, TN before moving to Alabama for the first time for undergraduate school. I stayed at the University of Alabama for my M.B.A. and worked in hospital administration for a few years before starting medical school at St. George’s University. I completed most of my clinical training in the Chicago, IL area and greatly enjoyed my time in the city, but I am very glad to be back in Alabama for my residency. I fell in love with the Gadsden Regional Family Medicine program’s culture & community during my interview process and I am so thankful to be working with this amazing group for my residency.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I am an avid reader, mediocre runner and coffee lover. I love spending time with my husband & our pets. I have 2 cats (Terminator and Rogue), a German Shepherd Doomie, and a Muscovy Duck named Dobby. On my days off, you can often find me enjoying the view from my back porch and chatting with my family. I am the proud aunt to 3 very cool children & I enjoy FaceTiming with my sisters.
